Teoreetiline osa magistritööst on uurimus, mille uurimisprobleemiks on:
· kunstiõpetuse kaasajastamine ning selle võimalused;
· kunstiõpetuse õpikeskkonna prototüübi loomine.
Eesmärgi saavutamiseks püstitati järgmised ülesanded:
· uurida erinevaid allikaid antud teema kohta;
· kavandada kunstiõpetuse õpikeskkonna prototüüp;
· leida sobilikud vahendid prototüübi loomiseks;
· katsetada prototüüpi materjalide lisamist Tallinna Ülikooli kunstitudengite ja kunstiõpetajate kaasabil;
· viia läbi testtunnid õpilastega kasutades kunstiõpetuse õpikeskkonda;
· viia läbi sihtrühma, prototüübi evalvatsioon.
Prototüüp. Materjalid on metoodiliselt täiustamata.

Art Study Environment in Web – research and prototype
MA paper objective:
· making art studies more up-to-date and it’s possibilities to achieve it;
· creating an art study environment prototype.
The objective is to create an Art Study Environment which is up-to-date and centralizes lesson plans and addenda’s for art and art history classes. In a study environment there are possibilities for interaction between teachers and students and possibility to share lesson schedule and other materials with each other. Study environment should help to alleviate student’s needs for extra attention and interests like different cultures, art history, different materials and means of productions, but also computer graphic and programs.
For achieving the objective there were several objectives:
* research different sources what matter for this subject;
* plan an Art Study Environment prototype;
* find suitable materials and means for creating a prototype;
* experiment the use of the prototype with Tallinn University students and art teachers;
* experiment Art Study Environment prototype with students in art classes;
* evaluate prototype.
As a result of the research a Web-based Art Study Environment is created in Mambo Open Source Content Management System. Using lesson plans and materials has got a positive validations form teachers and students. Evaluations objective was to get information about positive and negative aspects of the Art Study Environment, also to get ideas for improving the environment and structure to be more user-friendly. Next step in updating the environment is creating categories for pedagogical courses and collecting information about collaborative opportunities, exhibition information for teachers and students, creating new appearance templates for all users and more.
